About Our Client
Our client is a Tier 2 Main Contractor with an amazing reputation in the market place. This Contractor has a medley of projects on the go including but not limited to Apartment Blocks, Commercial Offices, High Rises and Interior Fit Out. They have an proven track record with many years in the industry and have a huge pipeline of work for 2017 and thereafter.
This role involves the overall Site Management of Commercial and Industrial Projects of up between $20-60m in build cost. This involves the overall man management of the site and coordination of the direct labour force as well as external sub contractors.
This is effectively a sole charge position where you are to lead the team and manage the project to enable the project to be completed professionally, on time, on budget and to the highest industry standards. On top of this all works undertaken must be compliant with the building code and completed to the highest Health and Safety standards whilst maintaining good relationships amongst all associated parties.
Involved in this also is holding daily Toolbox meetings, daily reports to the Project Manager. Organizing materials and really driving the project forward whilst maintaining quality workmanship across the board.
The Successful Applicant
The perfect candidate will have the following skill set and experience;
- Proven experience in NZ Commercial Construction.
- Strong man management skills.
- A trade background is highly advantageous.
- LBP Carpentry is also advantageous.
- The ability to drive a project from take off to hand over.
- A sound knowledge of Health and Safety Protocol.
- The ability to read and understand technical drawings and plans.
- A passion for quality construction and leadership.
