This role sits within the Millennium Plastics Ltd division of the group. Founded in 1999 and boasting state of the art design and manufacturing facilities in the Waikato, Millennium Plastics is a leading manufacturer of specialised plastic products used across Medical, Human and Animal Health industries.
Millennium Plastics Ltd have set their sights on being the preferred supplier of technical injection moulded products in Australasia. The Sales Specialist will further develop and lead sales acquisition and Millennium Plastics Ltd presence in the market.
Reporting to the Commercial Business Manager based in Hamilton the Sales Specialist will be required to manage a dynamic set of responsibilities. You will Pro-actively identify new business opportunities to grow sales as well as identify and develop new customers targeted towards growth and development of the client portfolio, service and market exposure.
Your proven experience in planning your activity to prioritise prospects that match strategic objectives and sales goals will assist you in delivering retention, development and growth on the profit objectives and market opportunities. Your contribution is key as you are considered as a vital member of the commercial team, your remit will involve developing and implementing a strong sales strategy including a sales plan and working collaboratively with the management team to optimize and implement this strategy in regards to new business growth. As a natural leader you will be a part of developing a strong sales culture.
Key account management relationships will be further enhanced with strong relationship management and a long term win win sales approach. Your strong relationship and communications skills will allow you to work across multiple disciplines within Millennium Plastics which include design, project management, operations and quality control departments.

The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have a track record working with clients currently using the services of injection moulders or similar technical sales field, or in a related medical/life science/animal health company in a relevant role. You are currently employed in a business acquisition capacity and have a dedicated track record of sales performance ideally through these sectors. Time spent within these channels will assist in providing the correct sales methodology and direction in taking advantage of the considerable opportunities. You will relish formulating and implementing strategic plans at a head office level and implementing into the field. You are a collaborative professional with a proven history of engaging, managing and influencing relationships with senior level stakeholders. Commercial and business acumen will be essential in terms of analyzing sales performance. You care and have a deep understanding about customer service needs and delivering satisfaction. Above all you are driven to over achieve.

Understanding of medical devices and related quality systems will be advantageous, but not essential. The main focus of the role is to build relationships with new businesses and make MPL their preferred supplier.
