Reporting to the General Manager in Auckland the Sales Manager will be required to manage a dynamic set of responsibilities. As a natural and inspiring leader with unrivalled relationship and communications skills you will be a key part of developing a strong sales culture. You will create a "can do" "proactive" Sales team that continuously looks for Sales opportunities and has strong relationships within customer organizations at multiple levels. This will be achieved by the execution of strategic planning and initiatives to ensure growth targets are realized and the identification of new growth opportunities that will contribute to the success of the overall business performance.
Your proven experience will assist in identifying new markets, both local and International, and assist in developing strategies to maximize such opportunities. You will also identify new products to be developed in market as well as identifying new channels where appropriate.
Your remit will involve promoting sales through key customers and establishing close working relationships with their relevant staff. This includes key distributors/customers/key rural merchants. These relationships also include our customers' head offices, category, regional and branch managers. You will help international distributors pursue product/market development opportunities and liaise with sales representatives to advise potential customers and support existing. Organizing and attending trade functions with plumbers, merchants, technical institutes and inspectors will allow for maximum market penetration.
As the Sales Manager you will possess strong business acumen and excel at setting sales budgets in conjunction with Financial Controller and General Manager. You will also be tasked with communicating budget targets to distributors and present a monthly report in relation to all sales initiatives and activity.

The Successful Applicant
The successful professional will currently be employed in a Sales Management capacity and have a dedicated track record of sales performance in both the domestic and international markets ideally within the commercial plumbing/rural/ building industry sectors. This will put you in good stead when it comes to working with clients currently using our services and products. Time spent within these channels will assist in providing the correct sales methodology and direction in taking advantage of the considerable opportunities. You will relish formulating and implementing strategic plans at a head office level and implementing into the field. You are a collaborative professional with a proven history of engaging, managing and influencing relationships with senior level stakeholders. Commercial and business acumen will be essential in terms of analyzing sales performance. You care and have a deep understanding about customer service needs and delivering satisfaction. Above all you driven to achieve.
