With increased growth and market opportunities, they are looking for a first class Production Manager to lead the site.
Reporting directly into the Chief Operating Officer the successful Production Manager will be fully responsible for all site based manufacturing and manufacturing support activities. With a staff of 45 and a direct Supervisory team of 3 your responsibilities will span:
Production: Provide support, guidance and direction across site operations ensuring a continual flow of product across manufacturing work centres. Ensuring OTIF delivery and monitoring and correcting any production inefficiencies, you will maintain and drive a culture of engagement, improvement and first class delivery. Managing and driving SOP's and being responsible for all site based training and development you will ensure production targets are met and report against these monthly to the C.O.O.
Continuous Improvement: At all times you will engage with the CI Manager on site to identify and implement LEAN Manufacturing tools and techniques, lead and drive a highly engaged, improvement led culture. Working closely with the Site Maintenance team you will be central to driving improvement plans to enhance OEE on site across all 3 shifts working towards a TPM Methodology, reducing wastage at all times.
Health and Safety & Quality: Working closely with Quality the Production Manager will identify areas of non conformance and address these through corrective action plans. With a focus on safety at all times you will be challenged to lose ZERO time through accidents and injuries and promote a culture of safety.
The Successful Applicant
This is a highly important and visible role within the organisation and requires a dynamic Production Manager. You will hold the following skills, experiences and attributes:
- Proven experience of managing production and maintenance engineering gained from within a highly regulated, GMP led environment such as pharmaceuticals, food, medical products or aerospace.
- You will hold extensive knowledge across production, production planning and have a good understanding around Quality control
- As a strong people leader with a customer centric approach to manufacturing operations you will be able to evidence where you have implemented LEAN Manufacturing, reduced wastage from operations and trained and up skilled teams
- You will ideally hold a Degree from within an engineering, science or other related field.
