About Our Client
Our client is one of New Zealand's leading supermarket Brand Custodians with a strong portfolio of company owned and imported principal partner brands. With over 100 years of experience in importing the finest food & specialty cheeses from around the world they have category leading products in multiple grocery categories. Based in Newmarket, Auckland, this company is part of a global food giant.
Reporting in to the General Manager this position will lead the company's selling strategies and deliver the commercial sales objectives, driving results through the management of key accounts at a head office level with a coordinated approach through the field sales team.
With previous FMCG sales experience you will implement best practice sales execution and provide the foundations to ensure their core brands are healthy and moving forward. You will be able to deliver results and execute category strategies through well planned activities and strong engagement with key customers.
Enjoying the strategic side of things you will have the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities in both existing and alternative channels.
Being part of the Senior Management Team you will be a strong voice in the office and assist the GM in developing and motivating others, not just your direct reports.
The Successful Applicant
They are seeking someone with FMCG sales experience who actively demonstrates leadership, strong negotiating and relationship skills, strategic nous and commercial acumen. Ideally you will have established relationships at senior buyer level with Progressive and Foodstuffs. The successful individual will be results orientated, enthusiastic and collaborative.
