About Our Client
Our client is a market leading media and publication company in New Zealand and operates across a global scale. They are seeking a Junior Digital Sales Executive to focus on Business Development and Account Management for one of their groups divisions to further drive sales.
Reporting into the Sales Manager, this Auckland based role will involve travel throughout Auckland and the occasional travel around the country. Key responsibilities include displaying a proactive approach to achieving revenue and targets through creative advertising initiatives and on-going account management focusing on up-selling and retention. You will also be responsible for creating and implementing sales strategies, managing tenders and presenting to clients to drive new business for the client.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will be someone who has had some existing exposure to Business Development or Account Management and more importantly has hunter qualities in them where they are not afraid to get on the phone to build leads and ask for the sale when engaging directly with the client. This is a challenging role and involves a candidate who can be flexible in their work and is able to adapt to different environments as they present themselves. Presentation skills and being able to exhibit strong negotiation skills to both internal and external stakeholders is essential along with a hungry sales attitude. While media and digital experience is desirable it is not essential for the right candidate willing to prove themselves and make the step into the media and digital industry.
