About Our Client
Established in 1989 and still proudly New Zealand owned, imake is renowned for its innovation, agility and high speed in product development and release. Famous for a number of lines across foods, beverages and brewing kits the company boasts brands like The Grainfather, Mangrove Jacks and Still Spirits. During a time of rapid expansion and after a recent acquisition the business seeks a high calibre General Manager to lead systems, people and performance at Regional Branch level based from their Albany Headquarters in Auckland.
Reporting to the Owner, the General Managers primary responsibility will be to lead the New Zealand & Australia business towards targeted growth through the effective leadership and management of the sales, marketing, operations, product and technical teams. Working collaboratively with the functional global heads (CFO, CIO, CCO), the General Manager will provide operational management in line with the strategic direction of the company, input to the company's strategy, and implementation of the strategy in New Zealand and Australia. Together with the UK General Manager you will implement the worldwide strategy. Your proven track record of delivering innovation, sales and marketing plans, will position you well in confirming time lines and launch execution are met whilst ensuring stakeholder relationships are established and maintained both internally and externally. You will implement agreed sales channel strategies including evaluating cost effective market leading distribution solutions, in line with the organisations strategy. Your dedicated experience in operations management will see you leading a world class manufacturing and logistics operation with a focus on safe working and a culture of efficiency and engagement. Your proven financial management experience will see you developing and delivering robust annual budgets, ensure monthly targets are surpassed and plans that maximize performance in all areas are developed and executed.
The Successful Applicant
You are a proven General Manager with international experience in developing and delivering growth. You have experience in delivering results in new Categories and new Channels to market, ideally from within the food and beverage sector. You have worked within a small to medium business in a hands-on leadership capacity, where you have been instrumental in the company's market, product and people growth. You have a dedicated track record of strategic management and implementing strategy through your teams. Above all you are a collaborative (Degree and ideally MBA qualified) leader driven to over achieve targets that are set through the development and leadership of effective managers.
