Detailed Core competencies of the group include Innovation, development and qualification of controlled drug release life science products, pharmaceutical contract manufacturing, processing of active pharma ingredients (API) and liquid silicone rubber (LSR) injection moulding.
They currently seek a dynamic and technically minded Commercial Manager in their head offices in Hamilton to further develop and lead an established range of products where your vision and leadership skills will be essential to grow the team further and expand market share as a result.
Reporting to the CEO based in New Zealand the Commercial Managers will be required to manage a dynamic set of responsibilities. You will lead and manage a strong team of sales, customer service and marketing professionals towards targeted growth and development of the client portfolio, service and market exposure. The role is primarily focused on the controlled drug release and the technical moulding divisions, a key aspect will include the market and sales development of their own propriety products.
Your proven experience in developing, leading and motivating sales teams will assist you in delivering the retention, development and growth of the sales force. Your contribution is key to achieve growth, revenue and profit objectives. As a key member of the management team, your remit will involve developing and implementing a strong sales strategy and working collaboratively with the management team to optimise this strategy. Key account management relationships will be further enhanced with strong relationship management and a long term win-win sales approach via determining and anticipating their customers' requirements. Your experience in managing a revenue stream will ensure profit growth through the identification, development and execution of appropriate opportunities. You will provide operational management in line with the strategic direction of the company, input to the company's strategy, and implementation of the strategy.
The Successful Applicant
You are currently employed in a Sales Management capacity within the medical device sales/ pharmaceutical sector or other regulated environment. You have a dedicated track record of sales management and performance through these sectors. Relationships and experience within these will position you well in providing the correct sales methodology and direction in managing external stakeholder relationships and go to market strategy with new products and services. This will also give you the freedom to lead and take advantage of the considerable opportunities in this sphere. You will relish formulating and implementing strategic plans at a head office level and implementing into the field. You are a collaborative manager with a proven history of engaging, managing and influencing relationships with senior level stakeholders. You are currently responsible for analysing sales performance using key metrics, preparation of forecasts and strategic sales plans, as such commercial and business acumen will be essential. You care and have a deep understanding about customer service needs and delivering satisfaction. Above all you are driven to over achieve targets that are set through the development and leadership of effective sales teams.
