About Our Client
As one of the world's largest Transport and logistics companies, our client has an international offering spanning over 150 Countries. Offering a core business of road transport they also specialise in Air, Sea and Rail Freight.
The role reporting into the sales Manager, will be managing the existing client base within the territory and then tasked with acquiring new business. Required to go into a business, understand their supply chain process and then consult on providing the best solution utilizing the range of international products our client provides. Working from the Wellington Office, the role will be on territory client facing and provides the required tools of the trade to ensure success.
This role is designed for a 'hunter' style sales person, the workload will be a mix of Account Management and Business Development. Well suited to someone who is hungry to sell and acquire new business. A large portion of your time will be spent on the road within your territory targeting businesses of all sizes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and acquiring new business in your territory.
- Presenting client proposals, presentations and contract negotiations.
- Managing pipeline and KPI's to ensure achievement of budgets.
- Ensuring that Weekly, Monthly and yearly targets are exceeded.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate their ability to successfully consult and demonstrate the value of a service in order to win business. Ideally from a logistics, either domestically or internationally background they must have a proven track record of sales. Open to backgrounds in service sales. Working towards KPI's the candidate must be able to demonstrate effective time and territory management skills to work efficiently within the role.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to present to a range of individuals ranging from warehouse and procurement managers to C-level and directors.
