Sealord is a global seafood enterprise with a world-wide fishing, processing and marketing network. Sealord’s processing is in Nelson, New Zealand where it has seafood, value added products and shellfish processing plants. Nelson is also the base for Sealord’s Fleet Managers, Research & Development, Information Systems, Human Resources and Staff Development.

Job Description
Reporting into the NZ General Manager, the Coated Commercial Manager’s primary responsibility will be the management of a multi-million capital improvement program, and subsequently the ongoing commercial management and development of the packaged goods operation. Your extensive senior management experience and passion within the food industry will enable you to adapt to this challenging role. Your dedicated track record in managing operational, process, and people change will ensure you lead and deliver the capital improvements on time and within budget, while delivering outstanding customer service and results through your teams. Your proven experience in managing internal and external stakeholder relationships will ensure you are equally effective in communicating with impact on the shop floor and in senior executive settings. You will drive continuous improvement in the context of people, process, technology, systems, safety and innovation, in line with Sealord’s values and behaviours, and the Core Business Plan.

The Successful Applicant
You possess a dedicated track record of senior level operational management within the Food and / or Beverage manufacturing sectors. With an appreciation of Lean/Six Sigma methodology, you demonstrate excellent project management and implementation skills. You have the ability to drive innovation within operations while contributing to the wider business strategy.
