Job Description
The main purpose of this role is to undertake work that relies upon abilities to apply actuarial, analytic, and general business methodologies to a wide range of business problems drawn from the areas of Product Design, Product Pricing, and Portfolio Analysis.
A secondary purpose of this role is to increase the depth and breadth of actuarial resource available by providing a range of experiences, training, and active encouragement that may allow the position holder to advance towards becoming a fully qualified general insurance actuary.
The Successful Applicant
The position holder will have passed the majority of the professional actuarial examinations of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia, or the equivalent examinations set under the UK or USA regimes.
This role requires: An eye for detail. An ability and desire to work autonomously. Working with, and manipulating, large volumes of data. A passion for dealing with complex mathematical problems. A constant drive to imagine and then promote more efficient ways of solving problems. Resilience to deal with the challenges and set-backs of passing the professional actuarial exams.
