About Our Client
CDB Goldair is an importer and distributor and is New Zealand's largest importer of electrical appliances and accessories. Their innovative approach to new product development and ability to add successful product ranges has set them apart from their competitors. Due to year-on-year growth and expansion they are seeking a Product Manager to join their Albany based team.
In this role you will be tasked with identifying product development opportunities and maximising distribution categories. You will be the product expert and manage client relationships with key retail partners. This role will be responsible for category performance, market penetration and forecasting. You will source and develop new product lines and provide any technical support queries from your clients. Preparing product documentation including product manuals, packaging and catalogues will also be part of this role.
The Successful Applicant
This is a fantastic role in a great kiwi business. The successful candidate will be commercially minded and have the ability to build strong business relationships. You will also be comfortable negotiating and a strong team player with a can-do attitude. You will be able to display proven, hands on Product Management experience.
Sales: Your past industry experience will allow you to manage budgets and margins, prepare and execute sales submissions and identify product development opportunities across existing accounts. You will be responsible for maximizing distribution of existing categories as well as offering support to Territory Managers and merchandising team.
Product: When it comes to product you excel in determining product category direction and performance as well as preparing and executing stock forecasts, conducting performance testing, certification and monitoring. Preparation and maintenance of all documentation including Product Manuals, Rating Labels, QC Specs, Packaging etc will be no problem for you as will continual relationship management with suppliers and customers. You're success and knowledge of sourcing, developing, costing and selling new product lines will put you in good stead to hit the ground running.
