Market Overview
Finance recruitment has stabilised following the difficult operating conditions during the global financial crisis. Whilst 42% of companies surveyed in 2009 decreased headcount as a result of the economic downturn, this year some 62% of companies reported that employee numbers have remained stable over the last six months. A further 28% of companies reported an increase, which points to improved trading conditions and renewed investment in staffing levels. Encouragingly, companies are showing a clear preference for full time hires as opposed to temporary staffing solutions.
